• How can I get a copy of my child's medical records?

  To obtain access to your child's protected health records from 贝博体彩app, please contact Magnus Health SMR customer support by phone at 877-461-6831 or email at service@magnushealthportal.com.

• When should I keep my child home from school?

  Children who are sick cannot perform well at school and will likely spread illness to other children and staff. Please do not send your child to school if he or she has:
  

  • A fever of 100 degrees or higher in the past 24 hours without fever-reducing medicines
  • Vomiting in the past 24 hours
  • Diarrhea in the past 24 hours
  • Strep throat. Children must have been taking antibiotics for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
  • Head lice including lice eggs (nits)
  • Rash
  • Pinkeye. Children must have been using antibiotic eye drops for 24 hours (which includes 4 doses) before returning to school

  If a child becomes ill at school and the teacher or school nurse feels he or she is too sick to benefit from staying at school or may be contagious to other children, parents will be called and asked to collect their child.

• How can I help prevent germs from spreading?

  Please remind children of the following simple precautions that reduce the spread of germs:

  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of your elbow, not into your bare hands.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Wash hands frequently, especially after coughing or sneezing.
  • Stay home if you're sick, especially with a fever.

  Parents, please assess children for flu-like symptoms, keep children home if they are sick, and consult with your pediatrician as appropriate.

• What happens if a student gets sick while at school?

  Students who are sick are taken to 贝博体彩app's 健康服务. If a student is too ill to return to class or the dorm, he or she will remain in the 健康服务. Parents of day students will be contacted and asked to take them home or to their family doctor. 寄宿学校 students may remain under observation in one of the overnight rooms and, if necessary, will be taken to 贝博体彩app's local doctor for further examination. If warranted, we may request that a local guardian (or local emergency contact) pick up the student until well enough to return to school.

• How is medication administered to students?

  All student medications, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, and herbal supplements, must be handed into the 健康服务. Prescription medications will be administered by a member of 贝博体彩app's nursing staff. All medications must be FDA approved, and prescriptions must be written in English by a licensed prescriber.

• What medication does the 健康服务 keep on hand?

  The 健康服务 stocks a variety of over the counter medications such as Tylenol, Advil, Benadryl, and multiple cough and cold medications which may be administered if parent permission to do so is indicated on the Health Form.

• When is the 健康服务 open?

  Our 健康服务 is open and staffed to meet the needs of our boarding and day students:
  
  Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m.
  Saturday - Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
