- Color Competition

This year, the Founders' Day Color Competition will take place after classes, in place of athletics, and will be followed by a celebratory All-School Picnic. Students in all grades will represent their color team in a variety of field games held on Parkerville fields. The games are organized by grade and/or division, with students moving around the fields from one event to the next.

Please mark your calendars for Thursday, May 7, and review the schedule below to help us make this a smooth and spirited event.

Schedule

2:45 p.m.	家庭资源 are invited to join us outside the Village Dorms at 2:45 pm to watch the procession down to Parkerville Field. Students will gather on the hill below West House for an All-School Photo.
3:00 p.m.	Events officially kick off at 3:00 pm. Keep an eye out for Mortimer the Moose, who will be there to cheer everyone on! The Color Competition events include: Obstacle Course, Cone Race, and Team Broad Jump for Kindergarten and grade nine students. Field Competition rotations for Kindergarten through grade eight students. Final Color Team "Tug-O-War" competition: grades three through nine color teams.
Dismissal	To ensure a safe transition to our All-School Picnic, please note the staggered dismissal times at Parkerville Field. Grades K-2: Parents and guardians should arrive at the field by 4:15 pm in time for a 4:30 pm dismissal. Primary students are welcome to stay and watch the remainder of the Color Competition, but they must have a parent with them. Extended 贝博体育app will not run on this day. Grades 3-9: Parents should arrive at the field by 5:15 pm in time for a 5:30 pm dismissal.
All-School Picnic	After the Color Competition, head back to the Quad for a community celebration! Food will be ready for our first wave of Primary families beginning at 4:30 pm, and the picnic concludes at 7:00 pm. 家庭资源 should plan to join the picnic once their oldest child has been dismissed (4:30 pm for K-2, 5:30 pm for grades 3-6). Please note that all Primary and Lower School students must have a parent or guardian present with them during the picnic. Upper School day students may sign up for Boarder Buddies until 6:30 pm for those whose parents cannot attend the picnic.

Important Logistics

Rain Date
In the event of inclement weather, the competition will move to Monday, May 11, and the picnic will be canceled.

Student Dress
Students should come to school ready for a day of teamwork and friendly competition! Dress code for the day will be Spirit Wear on the top, play dress/athletic wear on the bottom, and athletic shoes. Students should bring water bottles. Please remember sunscreen! Water refill stations will be provided.

Event parking
家庭资源 may park in Harlow Circle, the Brackett House lot, and any open visitor spots on campus. Please note that parking alongside the field on Parkerville Road is limited.
