Next year, 小学 teacher Lauren Cilley will take on the exciting new role of Program Coordinator for 贝博体彩app’s new 早教中心 (ELC), an early childhood program for children ages two years, nine months through age five. This is Lauren’s seventh year teaching at 贝博体彩app, and we caught up with her recently to talk about the ELC, what fascinates her about early childhood education, and her dream road trip.

 

这是我当全职教师的第九年了。 Next year, I’ll be planning curriculum, working with students and parents, and modeling teaching for our teachers and assistants. 这将是有益的，一只脚在教室里，也有一个管理角色。

在中学的时候，我有机会在白天帮一个刚生完孩子的邻居看孩子。 我照顾这个小女孩三年了，我爱上了那个年龄。 Young children are so genuine, and they’re naturally curious and eager to learn. 当他们第一次学习字母或学习如何写字时，他们非常兴奋； it’s amazing to be a partner in that process and to guide them as they figure things out for themselves.

 

我丈夫和我都喜欢旅行。 I’m going to Japan this summer, and we love to take road trips to national parks and go hiking. We just bought a house, so we’ll be doing a lot of work on that.
